Das Labor für Immunologie & Immuntherapie beschäftigt sich mit den Wechselwirkungen von Tumoren und dem Immunsystem. Dabei interessieren wir uns speziell für die zugrundeliegenden Stoffwechselwege. Im Fokus steht derzeit der ATP Rezeptor P2Y11, der u.a. in Makrophagen Stress- und Gefahrensignale in entzündungshemmende und blutgefäßbildende Programme übersetzt. In Zusammenarbeit mit der Uro-Onkologie untersuchen wir immunologische Aspekte der Tumor-Immuntherapie des Nierenzell- und Blasenkarzinoms.
The Laboratory for Immunology & Immunotherapy focuses on interactions between tumors and the immune system. We are particularly interested in the underlying metabolic pathways. The focus is currently on the ATP receptor P2Y11, which translates stress and danger signals in macrophages into anti-inflammatory and blood vessel-forming programs. In cooperation with the Uro-Oncology Unit we are investigating immunological aspects of tumor immunotherapy of renal cell and bladder carcinoma.
